A beautiful day for all, with cooler temperatures and sunny skies. All
three routes made their way to Holton today.
The B and A routes traveled the same roads today and were helped by
the strong north wind. The K route, on the other hand, had to push several
miles north from St. Mary's to join the other two routes at Goff. All
the routes enjoyed the south stretch into Holton, pushed by the winds
into their destination at the High School.
On the way to Holton, a local family served watermelon and cool drinks
at a roadside stop in their front yard.
The city of Holton has really made us feel welcome today, with many
food booths in the town square and brochures containing local information.
Our final BAK evening meeting will take place this evening in Linscot
Park, a chance for everyone to reflect on the past week and remember
the great experiences and to acknowledge the many volunteers who helped
made it happen.
