Today BAK finally got a break from the wind, which didn't stop, but was much less gusty. It even changed directions from south to west, which gave everyone a tailwind ride into their overnight destinations.

On the K and A routes, riders enjoyed a great lunch stop in Palco which was put on by the ladies of the Town Fellowship Hall. Many riders gave rave reviews to the service and selection of food.

All three routes enjoyed a tour of the RANS recumbent factory in Hays this afternoon. There were tours, test rides and a taco bar buffet. RANS also had a drawing and generously gave away a new recumbent to one lucky BAK participant. A big thank you to the folks at RANS.

Temperatures reached 102 degrees in the afternoon, but the riders persevered and finished over 60 miles on each route.
