For most BAK riders, today was a test of endurance. Strong south winds
and high tempuratures made this afternoon's leg of the tour the most
difficult yet.
The A Route enjoyed the scenic Gyp Hills this morning and few riders
had any problems there. The K Route had an early south stretch into
Medicine Lodge against the wind, but after lunch they had an easier
time heading east.
The
wheat harvest is beginning in this part of the state and the cutting
crews were a common sight today.
Tonight
B Route is at Kingman, A Route at Anthony, K Route at Harper.
