Report: June 7

Late Friday evening, a strong thunderstorm moved in over our starting towns with torrential rain and wind--it was quite a show! The rain had mostly stopped by morning, but the temperatures were cool.

Saturday morning BAK riders left the Colorado border and headed east to begin their journey across Kansas. The weather was overcast and cool most of the day with temperatures only in the mid-50s until around 2:00 pm. After that, the clouds let up and we enjoyed partly cloudy skies and warmer temps for the rest of the afternoon.
