Director's Report, June 7 The heat has hit! Cool days and evenings are coming to an end. Today was the first hot day BAK has experienced since starting the ride. As riders pedaled into the overnight stop, it was evident that they had been out in the Kansas sun and heat. This evening there will be a complimentary dinner served in the city park by the Great Bend Tribune (local newspaper). Entertainment will be by the Rawlin Cross Band from Canada, plus an animal show. Tomorrow morning, everyone
will be given a complimentary copy of the Great Bend Tribune that has
pictures of BAK and a short story about the day's activities.
