Route Report: June 15
The three Biking Across Kansas routes finished challenging days today, riding 70 + miles of
hilly terrain in warm, windy weather. Tomorrow's weather will be cooler with a chance of
rain, as the Bodacious, Alluring and Kolossal routes meet in Parsons for a celebrative final
evening. The final day, Saturday, will be a joyous 45 mile ride to the Missouri border,
followed by a celebration picnic in Pittsburg, Kansas.
After a wet spring, this BAK week has been notably dry. The earlier rains provided an
unusually brilliant display of wildflowers across the state, matching the mood of the
exuberant riders, all of whom are excited at nearing their goal of "Biking Across Kansas!"
